Storm chasing... an extravagant, late-phase indulgence

Oconomowoc Wisconsin USA, N4306.41 W8829.88, occasionally lies in proximity to weather systems that produce severe storms. I chase those storms.

My credentials for chasing storms that may produce high winds, hail and tornadoes are as follows: I'm nuts. See also Why Chase?

I hope you enjoy the storm photos on this site. Let me know at

Thanks,

Latest Chase

July 22, 2010 - Rubicon & Oconomowoc, WI. In storm report map, my position denoted by X.

In the thick of it for a couple hours. First headed north, Rubicon-Slinger area. Cells that produced tubes a little further west just produced rain by the time they got to me.

Swung south, arrived 1M west of Oconomowoc, in direct path of tube-producing cells. But nada by me.

Had to call it at 6PM due to previous engagement. Wouldn't cha know, next system to come through still further south turned out to be a good producer. Watch video:
